Learning should be fun
A beautiful purpose-built early learning centre for Morningside, Seven Hills, Norman Park, Cannon Hill and surrounding suburbs. A service situated nearby to local parklands with a strong emphasis on sustainability initiatives and community interactions.
Kindred Early Education is an educational facility for the children of Morningside, Seven Hills, Norman Park, Cannon Hill and surrounds.
Our service is a purpose-built facility, privately owned and operated by a local family. We opened on 2 March 2020.
Kindred Early Education has a strong focus on early education based on constructivism learning theory and influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach and Montessori educational theorists. Kindred Early Education offers a play based curriculum and features a comprehensive bush kindy program, quality music program designed by local music school Wee Make Music, yoga and mindfulness activities. All meals are lovingly prepared in-house by our qualified chef. High quality nappies are provided for children in each of the Infant, Toddler 1 and Toddler 2 Studios.
Our philosophy in resourcing the service is heavily influenced by sustainability initiatives, creativity and the appreciation of beauty. Your family will see beautiful repurposed furniture and resources enjoying a new lease on life in our curated spaces. Each studio has a different perspective and identity.
Director Ms Melinda is a highly experienced educator. Our service exists to provide an early education environment that provides children with all ages with rich and meaningful educational experiences.
Kindred Early Education utilises a number of communication methods – an electronic platform, communication books for the Infant and Toddler 1 Studios as well as regular newsletters.
Our environment and philosophy
Our centre has been designed so that children have many opportunities to engage in active outdoor learning and to create an environment where children can build confidence, resilience and social and emotional wellbeing. An environment where creativity is nurtured with an emphasis on open ended play experiences.
Kindred Early Education features just one studio for each age group, with a maximum of just 86 children across the service each day. The studios are designed in a way to foster learning with rich materials and experiences with a heavy influence on loose parts play and the use of natural and recycled resources and furniture. Our pedagogy is based on constructivism learning theory and influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach and Montessori educational theorists.
